Florida Vacation
Friday July 8th we flew to Tampa Florida to spend 8 days at Indian Shores Beach! We had an absolute blast. Carter was so much fun this year, he loved the sand and swam like a fish. By the end of the trip he was coming off the side of the pool into the water on his own and putting his face underwater and holding his breath. He was AMAZING. I have video so I will try to get it on here. We spent the whole week relaxing and spending time together. The beach crew was Mike, Carter, and I. Amy, Mom and Dad. And my Aunt Lois and Uncle Jim.

Our flight left 7:15 am friday. We left zanesville around 4am so instead of waking Carter up, I just packed him up last in the car, PJs and all. Once we got to our gate I changed his and gave him his breakfast. It worked out Perfectly and the flights went great. He slept most of both flights. (We switched plans in Nashville) We made it to Tampa by 11 ish so we relaxed and did some shopping. Saturday morning we got all our grocery shopping done and then headed to our condo at Indian Shores.
First steps on the beach. And he couldnt get enough

Checking out the sand and water
All of us watching Carter lol Thats mostly what we are always doing!

Sorry Carter.....too cute. Sitting in "his"chair. He loved this chair, he sat in it every chance he got. Even in between a diaper change
What you do, when both showers are in use. Carter didnt mind.
His hair is getting really long, but it does make a pretty good soap mohawk
We had dinner in Clearwater and then we walked to the pier. There is always nightly entertainment, shopping, and a playground.

We dug a hole everyday for Carter and he loved it. He would dive in, roll, dig, and climb in and out!
Covered in sand but he doesnt mind!
Sitting in "his" chair. Inside and out he would always find a chair to climb up on, sit, and then grin :)
The beach life, breakfast on the ocean front porch. Eating his favorites bananas, watermelon, and toast.
Ready to walk to the Bird Sanctuary. It was a rescue for pelicans and other birds of the area. It was only a short walk from our condo.

And now a sleepy baby. This was our routine, as so he got tired he would lay his head down and go right to sleep.
Sleeping in his beach "crib". Carter stayed right on schedule and took both his morning and afternoon nap on the beach.

On the last day we spent most of the day near the water and playing in the sand. A perfect ending to our week.
Playing in the water on the shore line
Busy at work

This was his look all week because of the sand and the BRIGHT sun lol
Carter 2011. Amy said just in case one day we cant tell who is in the picture lol

On our last night we took some pictures on the beach...then we headed to dinner at the Conch. Carter had his first "kids meal" which was his favorite...spaghetti, Mike had stuffed grouper and I had my crab legs!! It was the best place we had gone all week. At least Mike and I thought :)

Someone got a Gator at dinner....thanks Nana Last Day, we headed to the airport around 7 am for our flight at 10:30. We had plenty of time to turn in our rental cars and get to our gate. Carter did pretty well, he was overtired so he fought a little to fall asleep. After he got comfy he slept almost half of the 2hour and 15 min flight. We were in Zanesville by 2pm and relaxed the rest of the night!!! What a relaxing vacation! We miss Florida already!
Hanging out at the airport before our flight.
Getting ready to board, home to OHIO!
